Chicken and mushroom pie

Ingredients:

1-2 pieces chicken breast
shitake mushrooms
one carrot
half a potato
one clove of garlic
2 bacon rashers
chives
puff pastry


for the white sauce:
30 g flour (1/4 cup)
20 g butter
milk


Instructions:

  1. chop up carrots and potato and cook
  2. fry bacon rashers (chopped finely) with garlic, then add chives
  3. soak dried shitake mushrooms in boiling hot water for 15 mins, and then slice thinly
  4. cube chicken breasts
  5. make the white sauce, and add milk to correct consistency
  6. add bacon, garlic, chives, carrots, potatoes, shitake and chicken
  7. stir in and add further milk if necessary to achieve right consistency
  8. pour into oven proof bowls (one for each diner) and cover with puff pastry
  9. into oven for 20 minutes at 200 degrees C

Makes enough for 2 adults
