Ethiopian sidamo red cherry beans.  150g batches

75grams green beans x 2 pyrex dishes
8 + 8 mins in oven at 150 C (maybe too long, starting to go yellow) - oven fan not working..
remember to rotate the pyrex, and if possible give the beans a toss after every 4 mins

1st batch:
starting temp 280f
3 mins: 385f
5 mins: 400f (turned heat down at 5 and a half mins)
7 mins: 410f
first crack 7 min 20 sec
stopped at 9 mins: 427f
maybe a tad too dark - more for espresso

2nd batch: (fire seems lower, less yellow flickering)
starting temp 275f
3 mins: 372f
5 mins: 392f (turned heat down at 5 and a half mins)
first crack at 6 mins, but reduced heat too much..
7 mins: 380f!
increased heat again
9 mins: 400f
10 mins: 412f (END)

ethiopian sidamo.  150g batches

1. oven dry at 160 C for 10 mins
medium gas for 8 mins?
ending temp 440F

cupping: nice, maybe best aroma when hot, grassy when tepid. the lightest tasting coffee.

2. oven dry at 230 C for 4 mins
high gas for 4 mins till first crack
low gas for 4 mins  - too low.  temperature stalled
ending temp 425F??

cupping: the most amount of grassiness when hot but ok when tepid.  drinkable.  a hint of acidity

3. high gas for 6 mins (until first crack)  - temp too high
medium gas for 4 mins
ending temp 430F

perhaps a bit fast?  try slower start - target 8 min first crack

cupping: easiest to drink.  a little flat.  least amount of grassiness. the most amount of bitter taste.  darkest roast.  very little acidity
