home made sausages and hash browns

 





Sausages:

Minced pork 600g

Salt 4.2g (0.7%)

Mixed herbs


marinade pork with salt and a sprinkling of mixed herbs

shape into small sausages and fry - frequently turning in order to maintain a cylindrical shape


Hash browns:

Easiest to start with already baked russet potatoes (about 3 medium ones)

half a medium onion thinly sliced across

two eggs (one didnt seem enough)

salt


grate potatoes into mixing bowl and add finely sliced onions

add a couple of eggs and some salt and beat into the mixture

heat oil in frying pan

shape hashbrown mixture into a ball and gently place onto hot oil

flatten with spatula

let the base form a little bit of a crust before trying to flip over
