chicken korma

 

7 or 8 chicken drumsticks

one teaspoon korma powder

one teaspoon garam masala

one large onion - finely diced

2-3 cloves garlic - pounded

equal quantity ginger - pounded

3 potatoes cut into small cubes


make the paste - one teaspoon korma powder, one teaspoon garam masala, oil and a little drizzle of water.  mix to form paste


heat up frying pan and gently fry the onions

then pound 3 cloves of garlic in the mortar and pestle and start frying with the onions

next pound the ginger and fry

add the paste and fry well in a bit of oil


mix paste with onion, garlic and ginger together and then add the chicken drumstick and continue to fry over low heat - till the chicken skin starts to brown all over

then add the potatoes and continue to fry slowly


add a bit of water to help make the sauce (this is meant to be a dry curry, so just add a little bit of water at a time and watch the chicken and potato is cooking thoroughly)


cover with lid and let simmer gently
