Chicken Chick-Kut-Teh

1/4 cup soya sauce
8 chicken drumsticks
4 cloves of garlic, crushed
6 slices of ginger
small stick of cinnamon (or half stick)
one star anise
enough water to cover drumsticks in small saucepan
dried mushrooms (optional)

wash drumsticks
put all ingredients into small saucepan
slowly bring to the boil
once boiling, leave for 30 mins to bubble gently
