chai recipe
INGREDIENTS
500ml water
small piece of cinnamon bark (0.4g - 0.5g?)
3 whole cloves
4 cardamom seeds
2 star anise (1.5 grams)
2 tbsp condensed milk (40 gram)
2 tbsp whole / low fat milk
1 teabag (2g tea?) [really needs 1.5 bags ok for double portion]
METHOD
- water into stainless steel saucepan, over low heat
- add spices and bring to a gentle simmer stirring gently(< 100C)
- simmer for 10 mins
- add condensed milk and stir in
- lower heat and add milk
- bring temp back to 93 C
- turn off heat and add teabag - steep for 5 mins. stir gently
- strain the tea into a teapot and serve
