barley water

 

100g barley

2 litres water

optional: half cup of candied wintermelon (if added, cut down on sugar)

optional: 6 pandan leaves

wash and drain pearly barley until the water turns clear

add water, wintermelon, pandan leaves

bring to the boil and simmer for 30 mins

add a lump of rock sugar and taste.
